Day 2: A morning of sightseeing in Washington. then off to the first match:

Match 1 - v- Bishop Ireton High School JV at 13:00. After the game, there will be an opportunity to enjoy some post match hospitality with the opponents.

Match Report from Bill Simmons: Game just ended, 11-6, girls played well. Emma Gardner had 10 saves in the goal played very well, and it was close throughout. Mellissa Puckett, Katharine Curry scored for Westonbirt and Lucy Fenn had a strong game in the midfield.

Beautiful day weather-wise, cool breeze from the west, 23 degrees C. Bishop Ireton was ahead 7-3 at halftime and the game remained pretty even throughout the second half. We think the Westonbirt girls will likely have the better of it tomorrow night in their next game with Paul VI Catholic High School.

The girls did seem to warm to each other instantly, so we hope they will enjoy their visit the next few days.
